Ondo State Governor commends Nigerian Red Cross Society
The governor of Ondo state, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has commended the Nigerian Red Cross Society, NRCS, for being the foremost humanitarian organization in Nigeria. The governor made this commendation during his investiture as the Patron of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Ondo state Branch, a role entrusted on him by the Nigerian constitution.
The Governor, full of appreciation, described the Nigerian Red Cross as ‘’an organisation of repute I grew up to know’’ and commended the Branch and all members of the National Society for their ‘’commitment to saving lives among other humanitarian services.’’

Akpan Anani, represented by the National Finance & Resource Management Adviser, Prince Adeaga Oluyemisi, while delivering his speech gave a brief profile of the NRCS and her operations as an auxiliary to the Government. He eulogised His Excellency, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his selfless services and contributions to the National Society.
The Ondo Branch Chairman, Mr Sunday Adeniyi in his address extolled the Governor for his passion for humanitarian service. Mr. Adeniyi solicited for the Governor’s support in areas of transportation and monthly allocation for the Branch.
His Excellency, the Governor of Ondo State Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu was formally Invested/decorated as the Statutory Patron of Ondo Branch of the Nigerian Red Cross Society.
