NRCS’ BCCs receives training on Operation Communication
A two day Training In operational Communication for the states Branch Communication Coordinators BCC's Divisional secretaries of the Nigerian Red Cross Society in the North has been declared open in Jos, Plateau state Capital.
Declaring the Workshop open the Head of Sub delegation of the International Committee of Red Cross, Mister Majid Baktiany said the Training was to equip the participants on the importance of Information and Communication in this global world. He said the primary objective of the training was to encourage the participants to be knowledgeable, engage and interact with one another for the Red Cross movement to be accepted by all-in Nigeria.
Mister Majid Baktiany urged the participants to put into practice whatever they might have learnt for the much needed goals to be achieved. The ICRC Head of Sub Delegation stated that as humanitarian actors the Red Cross movement should always put into consideration the need of the people affected by conflicts.
In his brief remarks, the ICRC Head of Public Relations and Communication, Alhaji Aliyu Dawobe also urged the participants and Red Cross members in Nigeria to always discharge their duties in line with the seven fundamental principles.
Alhaji Dawobe further charged the Branch Communication Coordinators BCC's to be up to the task by explaining in details the meaning, the use and where necessary the application of the seven fundamental principles to members in their respective Branches.
