The British Red Cross team has started its quarterly planning meeting with the Nigerian Red Cross Society.
NRCS Branches from Lagos, Abuja (FCT) and Imo are huddled in Abuja where for the next couple of days they will do a rigorous post mortem of the activities of first quarter of 2022 with a view to improving their joint programming in the second quarter of 2022.
The partnership between the British Red Cross and the Nigerian Red Cross Society is a broad one that encompasses but is not limited to Disaster Management, Cash Voucher Assistance and lately, the construction of vital infrastructure for local communities that the Red Cross engages with.
Largely, the British Red Cross supports the Nigerian Red Cross Society to improve on its own projects. This includes looking at the way the NRCS plans, carries out and evaluates what it does. Basically finding out what works and what doesn’t that could be done better or differently.
